Basically, I agree with you--though I wish i could be sure Capitalism in the U.S. had run its course. If we sell off our social safety-net to its robber-barons, we may be back to a feudal lifestyle--forget the hybrid socialism. Glad you see through the shallow self-serving motives of most libertarians.
And yes, our "Reich" began with Reagan and seems not yet to have dissolved...let's hasten it to its grave!

Since this post, there has been some debate as to whether this was an actual act of terrorism. I am sorry, but any attack on a Federal Government building is not an act of good will. By focusing on the complexities of the underlying motives, it is easy to miss the reality that is staring at us; point blank. When people do desperate acts; they have somehow missed the land of opportunity and pursuit of happiness, that was bestowed to us by the founding fathers. When one person is deprived, all people are deprived. We are all connected whether we like it or not.
Cheerio!

As per Alvin Toffler - "Revolutionary Wealth"

The old economy is commodity based, on a shrinking value system. The less there is of something the more monetary value. Thus creating the fear based consumer ethic to buy more, bigger better houses. Take from the poor at all cost and let the riches trickle down. The new paradigm is information based and increases. However; what he leaves out is the fact that once the old fear driven consumer values; Americans will be able to live more simply. Less is more; the less consumption, the more peace will manifest in the world.

Power is available. Bucky Fuller also pointed out in Critical Path the power of one individual for change. Bucky took the title from an old computer term meaning: the most direct path which information can travel.

So we pass the torch on to the next generation, the booming babies fade into the sunset. Cheerio!
